Formerly known as Franklin Method® Equestrian, the Train Your Seat program began with a passion for enhancing equestrian performance by applying cutting-edge methodologies.

Under the guidance of Alysen Starko-Bowes, Franklin Method® Equestrian evolved to encompass rider biomechanics, horse movement imagery, and the profound connection between horse and rider. This evolution led to the Train Your Seat rebrand, symbolising movement, energy, and the dynamic partnership between horse and rider. How Rider Biomechanics training helps riders

Enhanced Body Awareness

I teaches riders to become more attuned to their bodies. Through exercises that emphasise the dynamic relationship between bones, muscles, and movement, riders develop a heightened sense of body awareness. This awareness is crucial in equestrian training, where subtle body shifts can significantly affect the horse's response and performance.

Balance and coordination are foundational to effective riding. I employs imagery and practical exercises to explore and refine these skills. By visualising the correct alignment and movement patterns, riders can improve their balance on the horse, ensuring a more stable and coordinated seat.

I encourage the use of imagery to facilitate muscular relaxation and activation as needed. Understanding how to efficiently use muscles helps riders avoid unnecessary tension, which can interfere with the horse's movement. This leads to a more harmonious interaction between rider and horse, with the rider's body acting as a supportive guide rather than a hindrance.
