Your Horse Can Only Move As Well As You Do.
Many riding challenges are not training problems.
They are movement problems in the rider’s body.
Crookedness, tension, and inconsistent contact often begin with how the rider balances and moves in the saddle.
A Small Change That Can Transform Your Seat
Understanding the connection between mind and body, understanding of anatomy and feeling motion is the foundation for the rider biomechanics work I do with riders.
Rather than focusing only on position, we explore how the rider’s body actually moves and how that movement influences the horse.
This allows riders to develop a seat that is balanced, responsive, and supportive of the horse’s movement.
Hayley's work with riders began with the same questions many riders have:
Why does riding feel inconsistent, tense and unnatural?
Why do some horses feel easy while others feel impossible?
Through studying biomechanics, movement education, and horsemanship, I began to understand how deeply the rider’s body influences the horse.
That understanding now shapes the way I teach riders.
As a rider you are coming for one of 3 reasons

Rehabilitation of an injury
For riders healing from physical injury, chronic pain, or body limitations that affect balance, confidence, or movement.
Nervousness or lack of confidence in the saddle
For riders who brace, freeze, overthink, or feel fear in or out of the saddle. We retrain your nervous system, breathing patterns, body awareness, and movement so that safety and confidence become your new baseline.

Lack of awareness around your body affecting your riding
For riders who want to improve posture, balance, aids, softness, and effectiveness through intelligent biomechanics and somatic awareness.
What Working With Hayley Looks Like
In rider biomechanics sessions we explore:
• balance and posture
• pelvic mobility
• body awareness
• how your movement influences the horse
Sessions may include:
• mat work
• movement exercises
• work on the horse simulator
• applying these ideas in the saddle
